    New Energy Vehicle Battery Thermal Management Solutions

    Pan Asian MicroVENT developed a neoteric product called the Heat Shield for the Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS), which takes full advantages of the superior performances of thermal and thermal insulation materials to significantly improve the BTMS’s efficiency of the battery pack and achieved clients’ requirements for the system’s capability, efficiency, reliability and durability.

    As the main energy storage device for electric vehicles, battery packs are the key equipment for electric vehicles. The rising of batter pack temperature will seriously affect the battery electrochemical system operation, cycling life-span and charging acceptability, as well as capacity, safety and reliability of it. The temperature imbalance among the units in the battery pack will eventually affect the battery performance and accuracy of the battery state of charge (SOC) estimation, even the system controlling and lifetime of the electric vehicle. Therefore, the thermal management of the battery pack has become a chock point of the survival and development of the new energy automobile industry. In order to improve vehicle performance and maximize the battery pack both performance and life expectancy, optimizing the structure of the battery pack and designing more advanced battery pack heat management system (BTMS) are needed.

Thismaterial which compounds SilicaAerogel and e-PTFE membrane fully meetsthe battery pack heat management system (BTMS) on the capabilityrequirements of thermal insulation and preservation material.
